General Superintendent

Overview Brinderson LP  is looking for an experienced General Superintendent for the Washington area.     Brinderson, a subsidiary of Aegion Corporation, is a full service engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance and turnaround company serving the western United States. Concentrating primarily on energy projects in the private sector, Brinderson serves a broad range of industries, including upstream oil and gas production, gas processing, oil refining, terminals and pipelines, chemicals, renewable energy, and industrial manufacturing. Responsibilities Brinderson General Superintendents are chosen for their leadership ability and technical knowledge in a variety of field execution skills.  This position reports directly to the site manager and coordinates their duties and responsibilities with the Client representatives and Brinderson estimator and planner/scheduler.  Their duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:     RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the direction of all craft superintendents, environmental compliance and supports / leads the safe execution of the work Scopes and assigns resources to work activities in accordance with the daily and weekly priority schedule.  Notifies the Client operations of the next day's scheduled work; so they can verify the work is to be done, prepare equipment, and issue necessary permits Work closely with Human Resources to hire permanent and temporary staff. Coordinates and oversees the execution of daily work activities by Brinderson' craft personnel and Brinderson subcontractors.  Resolves any resource conflicts that are impeding the work's progress (e.g., equipment, tools, equipment, support craft, etc.) Assists with estimating and planning to develop detailed work estimates, material requirements and potential need for outside services.  Interfaces and supports procurement and stores to ensure that the right materials/services are obtained and stored Monitors all paper work completed by superintendents for accuracy, clarity, and completeness The General/Project Superintendents are responsible for ensuring the work is completed in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.  The Brinderson field engineer assists them.  In meeting their responsibility, they monitor all project activities compliance with specifications, procedures, and drawings.  The Brinderson Quality Control Manual contains all of the required forms and procedures that the superintendents / supervisors must follow   Qualifications SKILLS: Ten or more years of oil & gas experience (upstream preferred), yielding a thorough knowledge of the technology, terminology, applications, and procedures associated with oilfield operations Supervise company operations.  Complete daily activity reports as required. Evaluate proposed projects, discuss enhancements, complete requests, and carry out projects Minimize cost by utilizing sound construction practices, project planning, and the bidding process Implement new technologies and methodologies in the construction field. Have the ability, skill set, and experience to troubleshoot oilfield equipment. Ability to multi task and prioritize duties and daily tasks to meet deadlines and manage work load  Have a strong understanding of both Capital/Projects and Maintenance work practices. Have a good understanding of welding procedures and inspection requirements per code and or client. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
